The Blue Wren vineyard is made up of three grape varietals - Shiraz | 10 acres - Verdelho | 6 acres - Merlot | 2 acres. With a heavy clay base beneath the top layer of soil the vineyard requires minimal water even in the hottest of years. The vineyard year runs from pruning in July through to harvest in February / March. Now being run as a minimalist intervention vineyard, the Blue Wren vineyard only produce wine from the most exceptional years.
