Blue Wren Mudgee WEdding Winner 2017

Lucky Dubbo couple wins extravagant $60,000 wedding at Mudgee’s Blue Wren Wines

The dream wedding at Blue Wren Wines in Mudgee has just become even more magical for Dubbo bride-to-be Tiffany Burton, after winning the $60,000 luxury Mudgee Weekend Wedding Competition.

Tiffany (27), and her fiancé Ben Josephs (29) were among couples across Australia booked to spend their special day at Blue Wren and become eligible to win the mega prize which includes the magnificent Wisteria Hall reception venue, food and beverages; and three nights at the property’s accommodation, The Farmhouse.

“Noone wins a wedding! To start our married life like this … we’ve been blessed,” said Tiffany.

“It lifts the massive financial burden that everyone getting married faces, so this is like a beautiful golden cherry for our plans.”

After receiving the good news last week after the draw, they will now use their wedding saving to help achieve a mortgage deposit and upgrade their overseas honeymoon accommodation for hostel to hotel.

The award-winning Blue Wren, located beside Mudgee’s airport, is a major attraction along the region’s famous wine route with its cutting-edge Chef’s Kitchen,  award-winning wines in the Tasting Room with a sommelier, function and event spaces, the charming Farmhouse accommodation; and activities including hot air balloon tours from the property.

Tiffany first discovered Blue Wren on a day trip to the region to search for the perfect wedding venue.

“Blue Wren was our first stop and when we saw the main venue, Wisteria Hall, we were blown away. After spending time with the lovely staff and the General Manager who helped us with everything we hoped for, we were sold on the spot,” she said.

“Blue Wren has the homely feel that we were after, and they have great relationships with vendors which makes all your wishes achievable.”

All entrants who booked a wedding during the competition period, from November 2017, will receive a $1500 'runner up' Blue Wren prize.

Tiffany and Ben will wed at Blue Wren in October 2018 with the reception for up to 150 guests under one million wisteria stems hanging from the rooftop in the Wisteria Hall, which includes a canapé package, a three-course alternate menu and a six-hour drinks package.

The competition prize also features a pre-wedding dinner function, their choice of wedding cake and flowers, a post-wedding breakfast, wedding printing and stationary, a $2500 travel certificate, three nights at The Farmhouse, the exclusive Marry Me Mirror Photo Booth, plus church service or celebrant service fees held in Blue Wren's Ceremony Garden.

Blue Wren General Manager, Paul Mallett, said the competition was inspired by Blue Wren’s passion for delivering unforgettable wedding memories.

“We work alongside an outstanding collection of suppliers, and together, we are thrilled to create the most exquisite experience for the lovely winning couple over a series of days to celebrate their marriage,” he said.

“Blue Wren has evolved as a leading wedding destination in Mudgee with our experienced events team which includes our acclaimed chef and sommelier, who can cater for grand scale weddings, to  small ceremonies.”

Blue Wren wines have recently won the bronze award for the 2017 Australian National Single Vineyard wine show for its 216 Verdelo, and silver for its 516 Rose bottled in 2016 at the Australia and New Zealand Boutique Wine Show.
