Blue Wren Winery is nestled in the beautiful Mudgee Valley, with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. Blue Wren wines have a reputation for excellence and have several award winning wines in their cellar.
The 2005 Bronze Medal Rose, 2006 Silver Medal Semillon and the 2004 Gold Medal Shiraz have all proven to be very popular choices with both the wine show judges and the general public.
In fact the 2004 Shiraz was the highest ranked Shiraz at the Mudgee Wine Show in 2006 and judge Huon Hooke was quoted as saying “ …Blue Wren is amongst the best Mudgee Producers…”
Owners of Blue Wren Roy Hofmeier and Vikki Williams have been at Blue Wren for a few years now and are very proud of their wines.
They have recently purchased the adjacent Augustine vineyard which is one of Mudgee’s oldest vineyards and has vines up to 80 years old.
The Blue Wren vineyard is located just 5km from the township of Mudgee, next to the airport on the Cassilis Rd. With Mudgee’s cool nights & long hot days, it has quickly become one of the prime growing regions.
